It is kinda hard to admit, but people do really need a more ‘mature’ mind in order to fully appreciate what Soo Young has got to offer. While we certainly can’t deny that Sooyoung possesses a cute face, a powerful voice and a great multitude of other talents, what really differentiates our ShikShin from the rest of the girls lies beyond mere physical things; it is her personality.
Despite being one of the youngest in the group (3rd youngest), Sooyoung boasts one of the most (if not the most) vibrant and striking personality out of all the 9 members of SNSD. To many of her fans, she is like a breath of fresh air in the midst of polluted air that is the Korean entertainment industry. She is funny, humble and most importantly, is always true to herself.
Sooyoung never ever hesitates to voice out whatever is on her mind, even if it may not be something that is politically correct. Just to cite an example, in more than one occasion, she actually openly states how she wishes she has more air-time and a bigger fan base. While some may see that as being desperate, to me, that just makes her so much more real, so much more adorkable, so much more worthy of my fandom. Xp
